This aquarium is outstanding. The boat ride is great and the open sting ray touching exhibit was awesome! The only reason I'm giving this such a low rating is because of the Penguin Encounter. A TOTAL RIP OFF. they have you sit in a big room and just have ONE Penguin roam around. No touching, playing, or feeding the penguin. Choose the right seats because if the penguin doesn't go near you then too bad. They also chose a penguin named Saba that they are trying to mate with another penguin. So only thing Saba did was pick a corner far away from everyone and nest there. Even the little kids that joined us weren't having any fun. $70+ just to watch a penguin. DON'T DO THIS ENCOUNTER UNTIL THEY ALLOW TOUCHING AGAIN. NOT WORTH IT RIGHT NOW.

We bundled with two of their other attractions and got a good deal to visit all of them! We loved that the Aquarium was off by itself with its own parking lot, not crowded by other attractions.
They take your picture as you go in the door and you can choose to buy it for a souvenir. We loved having a family photo for a decent price that was professionally taken!
The Aquarium was enjoyable. It wasn't overly crowded the first week of May. We loved the shark tunnel where you can see the underbellies of sharks swimming above you. There were lots of little tunnels for the little ones to climb in to see directly inside of certain attractions in the Aquarium, such as where the penguins are kept.
It took us about three hours to get from start to finish but our kids were so enamored that they never complained. They are fairly young children too!
We would definitely go back to Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach!!

We loved it all, so much to see. We love the boat ride. Definitely worth the $10. The food area has a jungle gym right there so kids can play for a minute. We loved the sharks and touching the stingrays. Kids loved the hands on activities.
Also,, It's walking distance from other fun thing to do also, so that's a plus.
