This is a nice hotel for an overnight stay near the airport. The reason I didn't give it five stars is because of the price. While it's a nice hotel and the amenities like the breakfast and airport shuttle are wonderful, it was still a touch more expensive than I expected. The breakfast was good, with lots of options. The airport shuttle does its circuit every 30 minutes until 11:30 p.m. There is a Costco across the street which was an unexpected bonus. Unfortunately in the evening the neighborhood is a little less appealing than some. There are many restaurants around, but they closed earlier than expected on a weekday evening. There is a nice little grocery store down the street, but it's separated by dark patch that might be unwelcoming for some. I'd give the place a 4.5 if I could, especially because the beds are so comfortable.

Very pleasantly surprised at the calibre of this hotel for the price range. Excellent customer service, thoughtful room amenities like white noise machine and universal PC workstation, 24 hour free shuttle, free full breakfast, at a great value. I'd recommend it if people are looking for an inexpensive over nighter near the airport, especially for those on business trips. Punches well above its weight class. (P.S. The free coffee made me do a double take - tastes pretty dang good, like diner coffee.)

Ian at the front desk is an exceptional employee. My wife needed a room early and he went above and beyond to accommodate her. I was not able to get to Vancouver till late Friday night and he checked her in without a credit card because I had both of our cards with me. Ian was very understanding and helped her with the luggage and let her eat breakfast when she checked in. It was the complete opposite of customer service she got at the Travelodge down the street. I would have never booked a room for her there if I read the reviews. Whoever is in charge of this Holiday inn is doing a great job training their staff. If you are ever looking for a job, send me a message.
