Expensive and Disappointing We booked this hotel only because of two reasons. We are Accor club members and have always experienced stylish class snd uber boutique vibes at most Sofitel’s we have stayed at across the globe. But this one just failed to deliver on the latter. Would not have minded if not for the hefty price tag they charged for a night without offering any of the luxury elements a good Sofitel hotel is known for. Very disappointed. LOCATION: Located in the heart of posh Achrafieh district DINE + DRINK: Didnt have a chance to eat or drink at the restaurant or bar. But they do whip up a mean Americano at the lobby bar. ROOM: We stayed in 102, which is supposedly a Junior Suite so this review is based on that; VIEW:Random view of the street ; SIZE: Though spacious the room is certainly not a SUITE by any stretch; AIR-CON: An almost nonfunctional air-conditioner that heated up the room like a sauna. We struggled to sleep because of the sub-optimal temperature.; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa quality cosmetics. FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines There is also an indoor pool good for a swim in all weathers. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to Danny at Front desk for providing a warm welcome experience HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free but SUPER SLOW Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages
