Radisson Blu 1919 Hotel, Reykjavik | 599 1000 | Iceland

Radisson Blu was a nice spot for a 2-night stay before heading out on our tour of Iceland. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The rooms are typical of Iceland (that we found): small and simple, but comfortable and usable. There’s not really any space to lounge and hang in the room other than the bed, but why spend tons of time in your room when you’re in Reykjavik?! Location-wise, it’s fantastic. In a great spot to walk to lots of great spots. Only downside to the location is that it’s a loud area when nightlife starts going and if there are door slamming guests, that’s annoying (not great soundproofing.) We didn’t do any meals other than the breakfast buffet both mornings and the selection was small but very tasty. Just a basic but yummy breakfast to start your day. This is a spot I’d recommend!

This hotel is fairly basic; mainly just a place to rest and sleep during ones stay. Breakfast is a serve yourself buffet style with a nice selection of items. The breakfast area is small with a few small tables/chairs. Room size (small) is typical of European hotels and fairly conservative. The hotel staff were friendly and polite. The hotel location is very nice being within a block of restaurants and shopping.

Beautiful hotel, super friendly staff. Great breakfast to set you up for the day!
