Wow, this was an eye-opening experience, really demonstrating the scale of building work the Germans undertook whilst they occupied Guernsey during the war. Quite an elaborate set of tunnels cut into the hillside, for either munition storage or as a hospital, safe underground should the allied forces bomb the surface above. Thought it was good value for money too. See unfinished tunnels, escape hatches, surgery, wards etc. Note that many rooms are empty as they were cleared after liberation. Take a jumper - it's cold and damp in there!!!

Definitely worth a visit. At certain times of the year they hold music concerts here and believe it or not they have bike races through all the tunnels 🚲🚲!!

A unique structure. A very emotional visit managed by friendly and knowledgeable staff. A worthwhile visit for everyone to experience.
