Great school! The school was established in 1998, one of only a few international schools in The Bahamas, and the only one situated on Grand Bahama. LIS is a pre-kindergarten through year 13 co-educational school, with emphasis on developing the whole child, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Students are taught to be critical and independent thinkers. LIS is accredited by both CIS and NEASC and it offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program and the Diploma Program. Graduates are accepted at renowned universities around the world, most with advanced college credits and many with scholarship offers.
