Well worth the entry fee and you are supporting the new infrastructure that had to go in after the fires. Helpful and informative staff that showed the best spots to go to. The views, the seals and the fantastic board walks made the visit so worthwhile. One for the bucket list. Can be windy as its very exposed so a jacket or a cardigan is a good suggestion.
It's good to see the area reviving. Whilst visitors can go there, there's not a lot to see. It would be useful to have a progress report sign.....where is it up to now? What's in progress? An expected timeline. How are the koalas faring? Are they breeding with numbers coming up again? Is there enough food there now for the habitat to be sustainable for them? People go there because they're interested . There's a car park, a public loo, an official National Parks office. But that's pretty much it. People are going because they care. Embrace it! Give them information as to how they can make a donation, become a Friend and get progress reports etc. You got the centre stage nationally and internationally, under horrendous circumstances, use it for Flinders Chase, koalas, roos and other wildlife benefit and for years to come!
A must do on KI! We were travelling with a dog so only had time to do one day while he was at doggy day care and we are so glad we did! Admirals arch, remarkable rocks and the cape du Couedic lighthouse are must sees! So beautiful to see the seals in their natural habitat. Easy walks with a few staircases. Definitely take a windproof jacket and binoculars to spot all the seals! We saw so many seals and sea lions. Beautiful coastline and a lovely drive through the park. All new infrastructure since the fires. Well worth the $12 fee!
